Clarification...

First, a disclaimer, I'm doing fine. The last blog was more a thinking thing. Not a "my life sucks" type of thing. Infact i'm great. haha, but i appreciate all the calls and prayers for my well being and strength against committing suicide...(sarcasm) Love you guys.

Now to the next blog...

For those of you who did not know, i was supposed to be leaving for my trip in a couple weeks but that is no longer friends. For those of you who did not know, that trip was actually going to send me back home to SoCal, to LA and eventually to San Diego for an evening to see some old homies. It was to be a surprise. One that will no longer occur, but the anticipation of such an event gave me a great opportunity to meditate on all that God has done in my life the last 4 years. Thinking of all the past, all the friends, family, trials, and praises. Each made me smile wide.

So my trip has been cancelled...bummer right??? Well not so much, infact this was just more clarification. Clarification from God that he is indeed sovereign, and is indeed in control of whats going on in my life right now. Its a really cool yet sort of unfamiliar place to be in. I've always known God is good and is in control but never have i seen the breadth of it on a longer term (more than a day) period like I am now. Its exciting, and the anticipation now of having no idea what God could be planning next for me in this time of personal/heart reformation keeps me waking up every morning to search his Word and Spirit.

The team is getting along great and I already feel the moans inside coming from the loss of a few tomorrow as James, Josh, and Rob leave for Africa to make His name known. Their trip will be hard, overwhelming, hot, trying, stressful, and BLESSED! God's hand reaches over each of those and beyond. It'll be weird here w/out James, but I do believe that Yes, here also, that God is orchestrating his good and perfect will. Other trips have been assigned, and soon the once full Tuesday night prayer and praise meeting will be lacking in numbers but hopefully not Spirit. Bless the feet of those that bring the good news to those who do not know.

Cool day the other day with the team...The 2nd Annual Labor Day Triathlon. Three events: 1) An approx. 1/2 mile swim across the lake. 2) A 5k run. 3) A corn on the cob eating contest (3/guy, 2/girl) What a great day, the swim was exhausting, the recent ankle sprain kept me from doing the run (could be just my laziness, but im pretty sure it was the ankle) and i came a close second in the corn eating. This crazy beast from Michigan (Jeff Talarek) beat me by about 5 second. It was great throughout to see the cheering and encouragament amongst the group of new family. Maybe this is part of what God has intended for the body i thought to myself. The day was capped by a very tasty bbq and trampoline jumpin into the lake. Best labor day in a long time kids.

These are just some thoughts friends & family. I grow more joyful and content with each day I'm here. Blessing to all of you. You are my letter.
